Finn Tattoo Apprentice Dallas Texas

FINN

@SAINTMAGIC

Finn been an apprentice since October 2023 but has been actively pursuing an apprenticeship since 2018. He started drawing very young and always knew he wanted to be an artist, originally wanting to make book illustrations, comics, cartoons. That turned into the desire to tattoo after his dad, who was an artist himself, saw him drawing on himself and said he could see him doing it. The passion just grew from there.

He would like to practice a range of styles, but would probably consider his personal style to be an illustrative, cartoonish nightmare, and is working on bringing some more dark art and neotrad elements into it!

Finn has always been fascinated by the cycles of life and death, and the only thing we are guaranteed to carry from start to finish is our bodies. He feels like that scares a lot of people, which is perfectly understandable, so he finds it incredibly appealing from an artistic, as well as spiritual level to give people some kind of comfort and control in being able to decorate their vessel with pieces of art that will accompany them & their bodies to the grave.

He is the oldest of 4 brothers and very proud of it. He was born in Dallas, but lived in Idaho for the majority of his school years until he moved back in 2018. He and his lovely partner are also parents to five little kitty babies, Heidi, Ziggy, Fiona, Giles, and Thumbs!

As someone raised by and around musicians, Finn loves to go out to shows! He loves so many genres, but often finds himself at punk, rock, grunge or indie shows. He is also a tarot reader with about a decade of experience. He has practiced paganism since his early adolescence and has been reading cards since 2013. Aside from tattooing and art commissions, he also offers tarot readings and would be delighted to read the cards of anyone open to the experience!

Growing up, he went to an incredible wilderness school that taught him all about self sufficiency, from caring for animals to growing and hunting his own food, as well as practical wilderness skills like making shelter & clothes, and his favorite, archery. It's not very applicable in a big city, but it definitely played a large role in shaping how he walks through life and made for some very fun stories to tell.

As someone with a fair share of unfortunate life experiences & situations, Finn strives in all ways to be trauma informed and considers himself a very nonjudgmental person. His goal as a tattoo artist is to create an environment where people are comfortable and confident in being their truest, vulnerable selves.
